We are trapped within ourselves… Soulpit project was born in Padova (IT) during November 2004. The members of the first line-up were Enrico “Lucifero” Francescato (vocals), Enrico Zabeo (bass), the axemen Alessio Mazzucato and Lorenzo Canella and the drummer Sebastiano Sartorello. In 2005 the band started to play some european death metal covers, but soon came the time to give life to the Soulpit. Thankful to their influences the band started to write their first songs. During March 2005 Alessio Mazzucato was replaced by the guitarist Federico Guerra (ex Trasos). In April 2005 Soulpit started to play their own songs during their gigs and in September they opened for the first edition of War For Thrash Festival, wich took place at Countrystar Pub in Padova (IT). Afterward the Band was contacted to open for Dismember and Coram Lethe at the Italian BrutalitY fair tour 2005 in Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza-IT). In February 2006 Soulpit started the recording of their first MCD entitled “Trapped into the Soulpit”, containing 6 songs. The release of “Trapped into the Soulpit” took place at LaGabbia music club (VI - Italy) on 17 March 2006. Soulpit are now working hard on new material in order to record their first full length album, still goin’ on with the promotion and live gigs. The Soulpit is taking its form… Men are the cruel pit of their soul, We’re planting the seeds of desperation…
